On October 31st, 2019, my then 12-year-old son was rushed to hospital after suddenly losing feeling and movement from the chest down. After emergency spinal surgery to remove a hematoma and a mass from his spine, We were told by his medical team consisting of Surgeons, Doctors, nurses and spinal rehab specialists that it would be a long stay in hospital, plus at least 3 months rehab, which meant missing Christmas and his birthday.
Post surgery there was 4 days in ICU, 3 days in another ward, then he was moved to the Rehab ward. These Doctors, Surgeons and Rehab workers specialise in spinal injuries were adamant that it would be no less than the time they anticipated.
A week passed still unable to walk and awaiting tests to see if the masses where cancerous, my son contracted a bladder infection that began to infect his kidneys, most likely from the catheter and the fact that he had been bedridden, paralysed and unable to move unless he was rolled.
Administered was intravenous antibiotics, many painkillers, but his 40C temps refused to drop for 3 days.
That’s when I phoned Dan and asked for a healing on my son. November 13th, 2 weeks post surgery, Dan did a healing on him.
We ask hospital staff for no interruptions; I was in the room alone with my son as he went to sleep. One-hour later, my son half woke with his whole body shaking vigorously that he could barely talk. He murmured Dan’s name, but I couldn’t hear the rest of what he said…. I almost called in the nurse, but he calmed down and fell back to sleep.
15 mins later he woke again, shaking and trying to talk, but this time he was clammy and drenched in sweat…. I knew Dan had finished, so I called in the nurse who took his temp… It finally had broken!
The next morning his feet began to move, and he could push against my hand, then 7 days later, he stood by himself for almost a minute. The improvement was dramatic, the physio had to change his plans daily… The 3 days it took for them to make his AFO’s for walking, he no longer needed them.
Dan and I spoke, he said he felt he would be out of hospital by December 10th. On December 10th, at the meeting with his medical team to their amazement, we were told he could go home at the end of the week.
Friday 13th of December, I took my son home for good.
He was no longer in a wheelchair but walking on his own. In fact, the day before he was discharged, the physio made him run down the ward. In 6 weeks, my son went from being completely paralysed, to jogging out the door. I’m so proud of his positive mindset and his trust in not only himself, but in Dan.
I’m so grateful that Dan was not only able to help my son heal on a physical level, but to delve into any blockages, soul loss and trauma that he was experiencing and to heal them as well.
Dan has an amazing gift and so much knowledge, and I fully trust him with being able to heal us on levels, even those we don’t even think are possible.
